When things go your way.

I was thinking this morning how things are going my way lately.
I have a ceiling fan who's motor started making a grinding noise. It's 16 months old but I contacted the company anyway to see if there's a way I could lubricate it. After providing them some info, they sent me a new fan!

Remember that East Palestine train derailment? I just got a settlement check from the class-action lawsuit. (I live nearby, downwind so the chemical cloud ran over us).

Daughter had a pretty large medical bill she wasn't expecting. It was for services she declined so she fought it. The bill went "poof" and is now $0, along with the bill for the services she did receive.

You having anything good happening?

Glad to hear things are going well for yall, what a blessing.

Cant say things are going well, as in nice windfalls or unexpected benefits, but things are steadily progressing around here. Not at a fast pace, because summer heat precludes a lot of heavy outdoor projects, so we are focusing on doing indoor projects. Progress is being made, just slowly.

And I'm ok with that.

Well, not bragging but totally blessed by the Lord and He gets all the credit. I am currently 77 and still cut 4 cord of rock maple on the woodlot (former sugarbush). I will shortly start moving 6 ton of wood pellets (two years supply) into my pellet storage room all by hand one 40 pound bag at a time. Why you ask? Because I still can. I enjoy the work. As my Dad used to say, hard work son builds character.

Old saying goes something like this. When wealth is lost, nothing is lost; when health is lost, something is lost; when character is lost, everything is lost. Truer words were never spoken.

Was bleeding heavily from backside. Was suspecting it was colon cancer, had to get colonoscopy. Lab results came back negative for cancer. It is Crohn's and as of right is about 95% in remission. The clean out stuff for the colonoscopy about did me in.A gallon of foul tasting liquid. Not a question of if you will shat yourself but how many times you will. Next time I will get some adult pullups. I am so thankful to the Lord it wasn't cancer.

THANK YOU GOD IS RIGHT!! SO GLAD IT'S NOT CANCER!!!

I consider it a good day whenever I wake up with a heartbeat.
Last week the wife won a $250 gift card from Dish Net to Walmart. Over the years I've won a number of class action suits. The last one was from the DeBeers family for diamonds I bought from them and they overcharged. A couple other suits are pending related to some investments that I didn't know I had.
Things generally go our way do to a lifetime of hard work and planning, going back to my teen years.

That reminds me of when my CC got hacked...
When I saw my bill, I reported it.
They wiped the WHOLE MONTH clean, the fake charges, along with a whole bunch of my legitimate charges!
$500 of stuff I bought, suddenly became FREE!!! 😁
On topic: I have so many things going my way these days, it's impossible to pick just one. :)

Thankfully it's not cancerous. Though Crohn's isn't fun to deal with either. My dad had ulcerative collitis. I remember him bleeding all the time from his butt and all the issues he used to have when I was younger. We almost lost him one night when an ulcer burst inside his intestine. He was flown to the city for emergency surgery to remove his entire colon. He lived the rest of his life with an ostomy bag.
