I'm in town now waiting to renew my driver's license. I guess the girl is on a 15 minute break. Anyway, it's a humid 67 degrees down here.
Yup. I haven't looked at the forecast for a while. Last time that I did, there was a faint chance of rain but basically, it was just more of the same, sunny and in the high 90s. I looked just a little while ago and there's supposed to be thunderstorms tonight and through most of tomorrow. We'll see. We surely could use it. After a couple of days of frustration and delays, I was finally going to mow tomorrow. I guess that we'll see on that too.

We may not get much of anything out of it. I looked at the radar projection and it seems to be stalling out to the south of us.
Right now, it is a pleasant 82° with a couple of puffy white clouds in a bright blue sky. Not much wind, barely a breeze.
We got a little rain last night, not much just enough to settle the dust. It's cooling off nicely now. We put the wool blankets on the bed and I've been wearing a wool sweater most of the day. High temp today of 61 degrees, overcast and getting some wind.
Its 103F. Wind is blowing towards the east so I hung out some laundry on the clothesline. First time in like 9 or 10 days, when the Ross fire started. Took advantage of it.
Jeans dried in about 45 minutes, towels in about half an hour. Just as soon as one load would wash and be ready to hang out, what was on the line was ready to be taken down.

The weather dork posted a flash flood watch for tonight. We need to get some rain first. I'll believe it when I see it. It's pretty chilly tonight. If it wasn't so dry I'd build a fire in the wood stove.
Never did get any rain. The cloud cover got heavier and the wind got really strong but nary a drop of rain.

Looks like they upped the east Texas rain chances. There's a 10% chance out my way. Should make 100° here.
We're finally getting some rain. It started late last night. It's 44 degrees this morning.
Well, the rain did make it far enough north to reach us. It's not much, just a nice, gentle rain, no thunderstorms as promised. Still, we're grateful for anything that we can get. Oh, and the temperature is only 80° at 11 o'clock.
Well, we used up the last of Edouard we had. September (cooler temps) is gone and we are back to full sunlight, hotaugust.

Getting hot here too. It's 11 and its already up to a blistering 50 degrees with on and off sprinkles.

I'm afraid not. Places within a few miles of us got drenched but all we got was a sprinkle. Most of the bad stuff stayed off to our south. By the time I got back from town this afternoon, the clouds had broken up and the sun was shining. The temperature got up to a very humid 90°.
