I LMAO while helping them.
Laugh, then help, and laugh some more. Usually it's me doing the stupid things. Here, hold my beer....
I don't even need anybody to hold my beer, lol!!
These days I mostly laugh at the liberals and no, I will not help them. Those jerk wads are on their own.
It's a case-by-case basis. 
As a first responder I grit my teeth while on Darwin calls as I call them.
Reminds me of a broken ankle on a guy 250-300 pounds winning worse than a newborn.
He had hiked up a mountain trail about a mile in a set of plastic flip-flops trail goes off camber he slides in the "shoes" and falls down to the crick bed 20 ft below. yes we were professional at the call but after the call you should have heard us at the station.

As a paramedic, I was forced to help them first and foremost. Later after leaving the ER in the ambulance and headed back to the house, we laughed really hard and a lot. By the time we got back to the fire station we often had some hilarious stories to tell the guys.
