What are you growing in your garden

I went small this year. All large pots fenced from the deer. Tomatoes, squash, various peppers, cukes. Already got some squash, good taste!!

Strawberries raspberries black berries pears apples mulberry elderberry and blueberries.

Straw berries, inpatients, marigolds, a sunflower for Madison, and pansies.
Green Peppers, cucumbers, cantaloupes, and celery.
The celery is from store bought bottoms.
When you cut the celery to the bottom one inch;
Plant it.

I'm "guessing" the Mrs. will slide in some tomatoes and peppers.
We have so much already in stock, I don't feel a need to grow this year.
Last I checked, we still have well over 100 quarts of tomato products in mason jars.

Gardens attract meat, like deer and rabbits

We're going down tomorrow to pickup some potted plants, mostly for the raised beds. We have 8 raised beds plus a bed of asparagus in the garden area. I got the garden area and the orchard mowed today. We lost one apple tree, two raspberry and two blackberry plants. Everything else survived the winter. Besides some new plants to pickup tomorrow we'll also get some fertilizer and bug spray. I noticed a couple nests of tent caterpillars in a plum and peach trees. Those things kill whatever branch they decide to build their nest on. Right now I'm spraying them with wasp spray, or sometimes I cut the limb off and give it to the chickens.

It sure does. I go through cans of that stuff every year.

Yep, if you want it dead, spray it with wasp spray!!

Maybe its just here in Ca, but the wasp spray of today is not nearly as good yester year, they used to just drop when you sprayed them, now they fly off, sometimes at me.

Nothing the Amish market is so inexpensive it is way less hassle, now the neighbor keeps planting tomato plants every year that doesn't get any fruit along with the beef-stake and big boy one's it must make the other plants grow better
