The best thing Ozzie did was apologize. He went into a 2.5 minute tirade calling Jay Mariotti every name in the book during the apology. It was aired on Chicago radio yesterday and I never laughed so hard in my life. Ozzie basically said if calling him a faggot is the wrong word then I apologize to any that might have offended but I call Jay a lot worse, that man is garbage. And then it all went downhill from that point. He started to challenge Mariotti to come to see him in person and he bascially said that Mariotti was the worst scumbag on the planet.

One of the idiot reporters at the press conference asked Ozzie if he would go to "sensativity training" and Ozzie said FOR WHAT! For using that word? No, I know what it means, it means that man is a peece o chit chicken wimpy. . . .

The apology was classic Ozzie! Got to love that man.

BD....It was actually a really good guess. The article you provided suggested it was a reference to ones sexual orientation. I don't believe "scumbag" references ones orientation. I've personally experienced his exhuberant side during my days broadcasting White Sox spring training games. I think he called the guy a Faggot! .....:5boobs:
