Tim Hardaway's Comment

Gone But Not Forgotten
Article Here.

So what does every one think of Tim Hardaway's comment? Read the blog section also as this is some interesting comments.

I guess he has his right to his opinion he just may have made it the wrong way. Some people in the blogs stated that Tim has to think back that at one time Blacks were not allowed in the NBA and that the gay thing is the same. I don't think it is. Blacks were born Black, Gay is a choice so I see no comparison. Some people in the blogs stood up for him. Too many blogs so I didn't read all of them.

I actually posted a bunch more her but thought the thread would really go the wong way. Keep your comments to Tim's actions and not your take on gays.

I think he spoke his true feelings.
As soon as the backlash started he backed off his statement and apologized and tried to down play it.

Why should he be forced to act like he agrees with homosexuality if he doesn't. There would be a certain percentage of the population upset if he said that he thought having sex with his pet dog is something he wouldn't consider. I blame the liberal media for many social issues and partly for why our prisons are so full. Nobody is to be blamed for anything and everything is to be okay in their view.

Why would the media have a field day if someone suggested having a white European appreciation month? Jesse Jackass and Luis FairyCan keep racial issues stoked. Without them and the media to keep people fired up, I don't think we'd have hardly any racial issues. I really don't know anyone who give a rat's ass what color someone is; they only care how that person acts and how that person treats them.

Tim Hardaway's Comment was a statement of opinion, that's all nothing else. :argueing:

The other was a racist, murdering rampage. :2gunsfiri

Who gets the media coverage?

I do not know if homosexuality is a choice or is genetic, and since it is not my job to judge other people I really dont have to worry about it. People are certainly born whichever race they are no racism is ever appropriate, ever. But having said that it really bothers me there are super protected people. If someone commits a hate crime the punishment is much more severe. However, if someone kills my sorry Protestant white ass that just aint quite as bad, but I would still feel it was pretty durn hateful. Charles Barkely aside, if you switched the word homosexual with white how do you think the press would have handeled it? Bet the outrage would have went unnoticed. Also some black person at work was telling me the other day prejudice is illegal, I said no it isnt, discrimination is. But maybe I am wrong. Is some thought becoming illegal? Very scary. Sorry about the babbling, I have not had my first Friday night beer yet.

Nothing wrong with speaking his mind and his opinion, HOWEVER, and I could be wrong, this guy still has a nice "spokesmans" job with the NBA (or perhaps "had").

You get paid by your employer, you should know what standards you are held accountable for, or if you don't care, don't expect to work.

Again back to Charles Barkley (and I really cant remember what was said) and others who were openly anti white, no repurcussions at all, if anything he got more work. I dunno, just kinda thinking out loud. You know what happened to Rush and the NFL. Just some things are too Sacred.

For anyone to THINK that they hate such-and-such a group is one thing. For them to SAY they hate such-and-such a group and expect them to retain their job as a spokesperson (note the pc non-gender term) for an organization is moronic. I personally don't care what he thinks about gays, whites, or even republicans, but if he were representing my company he would be out of a job. The only place you could get away with something like that would be if you repersented the KKK.
