What does an escalator say when it stops working?

When I was 10, the Family was shopping at the Oakland Mall in Detroit during a thunderstorm. City power went out.

......... I was stranded on the escalator for three hours, until the power came back on.

Mom was terrified, but the rest of us were just bored.
