The Screwtape Letters by CS Lewis

I am listening to an audiobook on Youtube of CS Lewis's novel The Screwtape Letters.

It is a classic. It is a narration of letters a demonic entity named Uncle Screwtape writes to his nephew named Wormwood. The letters are instructions on how Wormwood should manipulate his 'patient' in order to prevent the patient from being saved by 'the enemy', God.

I listened to it, or rather tried to, decades ago. At that time I lacked sufficient insight and depth of faith to get much out of the novel.

But listening to it now.... I realize what a great mind Lewis had. Has.

I really recommend it, its not a light story. But it's very much worth listening to or reading. There have been several instances where I recognize my own behavior in what he writes, and instances where I understand what likely motivated other people.

I just read the Narnia series a couple of years ago b/c I remembered when 'The Lion, the witch, and the wardrobe' was one of my favorite books in childhood. I had never read the whole series before and thought that it was about time that I did. LOL! It was a great ride, even as an adult. As a kid, I never really saw the religious aspect of it but as an adult is it undeniable.

I recently just finished the Space trilogy. That was a trip. It was an investment of time but worth it. C.S. had such a great mind.
