Teach fractions with a tape measure

Any math teachers or home schoolers out there? Do yourself and a future generation a favor use a tape measure to teach fractions. Teach the kids HOW to read and use a tape measure.

Add to the confusion up here. Most packaging and size references come from the states using inches, feet, pounds etc. They only teach the metric system in school which is millimeters centimeters meters kilometers and kilograms. And it's up to us to convert and understand the measurements used on packaging and clothes sizes and convert it. Then there's miles vs kms. Ugh.
