Snow Cat Serenade, 2027

Hello from Cabin 2.😎
great to have cabin 2 folks at the serenade, welcome and hope you enjoy the serenade

the cabin 2 folks will be making their maiden voyage of driving a snow cat at the serenade, so lets take really good care of them, make sure they have all the proper safety, survival equipment, and training.
and share with them all the knowledge and survival techniques of the serenade, thus making it, a very memorable serenade for them and maybe they will come back

first, the Conrads will be our trek masters, this should be a grand adventure

as, with all serenades, there will be after dinner drinks, each night, always a great time, the grand mesa lodge does bonfire each night, there will be live music each night also.

thank you to all that made reservations so quickly, making putting events together so easy when the rooms get booked asap, thank you again

remember if you choose, after the serenade, please consider driving east a bit to vail and join the colorado group and join them on saturday

I believe they are the weekend before.

Secondly will the serenade be on federal, state or private land?

Any permits or registrations needed?

I was told the vail event was the weekend after, either way, they run the weekend and we'll be running on the week days, thus either coming or going, one will be able to do both if one chooses, win win

yes we will need snow mobile permits.

you can either do it in person in grand junction colorado at, James M Robb headquarters, 361-32 road grand junction colorado, 970 434 3388

or

via mail, go to colorado parks and wildlife website, and find the by mail option.

both ways will require proof of ownership, bill of sale works.

easy easy easy

If someone still wanted to attend the Snow Cat Serenade March 9 to 13, 2027, Just thought I'd put some other close options for lodging since all the cabins are rented at Grand Mesa Lodge.

Thunder Mountain Lodge is literally just around the corner. 2 miles from Grand Mesa Lodge. The rent nice cabins, but no dining. Nice open area to park your rig. https://thundermountainlodge.net/

Also, If your feeling super fancy then the new Mountain Top Lodge is open with cabins to rent. 2.5 miles away from Grand Mesa Lodge.

I live in Fruita which is an hour away. I was planning on just driving home every evening after the awesome day of snowcatting. This will be my first Snow Cat Serenade! I am Stoked! I look forward to meeting everyone of you all!

Would be fun but CO is a bit a haul from here in the PNW. Plus my trailer needs a new wheel bearing. I'm full of excuses.
Currently hoping that the bastardo El Nino Grande doesn't seriously fark up my snow here, which predictions are pointing to another disappointing winter...if not even worse than last year. Colorado might luck out and be in the snow zone. We shall have to wait and see.

to all that are considering coming and staying elsewhere, other than the grand mesa lodge, please let me know, really want to make you feel part of the serenade and the group, remember, catting is only one part of the event, dinner and after dinner drinks are where friendship are built...

hope you can make it happen,

fyi, by moving the serenade every 2 or 3 years to a new location, everyone get the pleasure of a long drive and we all get to see new territory, which is a huge plus
