Snow Cat Serenade, 2026

little house keeping

first, big thank you to everyone who is making the trek to snow cat serenade, promises to be a good one....

after dinner drinks each night starting at 7 to 10 pm

will leave each day approximately at 8:30 am for the mountain. With hopes to be back by 5PM

sack lunches available from he hotel each day, place order night before and pick up by 8 am, if you get a hotel lunch they will bill your room

we will snow cat Thursday and friday. most likely both days on mt Adams, as mt Adams has better snow conditions , all this might change if we get the snow storm that is coming our way, then more of mount hood becomes available to snow cat on, again game day decision

and Saturday, we will do the WAAAM museum with hosted lunch of the worlds best piazza, fabulous museum, a must see, bucket list thingy, plenty of parking for all our rigs with trailers, and it is very close to the hotel

have a great group coming, really great group

travel safe

see everyone wednesday, and after dinner drinks at 7 pm I will be buying the first round

Do we have any advisory on "requirements" for onboard carry for each cat?
Just a thought - as when we group ride on 4x4s, we have a list of items such as recovery gear, shovels, etc., - figured may be there is something along the lines so we are properly prepped ahead.

I carry usual stuff, but wanted to make sure if I'm missing anything...

Along with onboard fuel requirements? Having a 75g tank I should probably be ok, but just in case - whats expected/approximated travel we plan on?

Thanks in advance,
I guess I'm just excited to be out again :)

you should have enough fuel for both days. No formal list of equipment. Between us we normally cover all the bases. Bring your "normal" list and it's all good.

Is it zoom or teams?
Collaborate?
Good call Dave!
7pm pacific time zone.
Glad they added the virtual serenade option....

Damn, wasn't thinking about the PST issue related to my bed time!

100% being funny......

Don't be soft..... Be like the LMC/Thiokol in this photo...... Out front leading the way..... making the sno passable for _____________ snow cats.....man up.
Dave, maybe ask your wife for a permission slip to stay up late?!

Joking over.....

Have a great event.
Compiling all the elements necessary to have a great event in the shadow of Mother nature playing snow fall games this year is aggravating. When people get all touchy about the snow and weather ( cold ) ahead of the vintage snow cat clowder, I reply with: "snow cat people could gather in a walmart parking lot and lay claim to it being a good time"...... Depending how they address that statement is directly proportionate to my ability to kindly address their concerns moving forward. Proper preparations and planning make for perfect (____Participation?___________________) whats a word for execution/action that starts with P?

Crush all the snow flakes, most of all. have fun!

Thank you very much!
For a give away “prize” I brought you one original 1975 muffler exhaust stack. I’m thinking you will have some fun deciding who needs a “muffler” this year!

redsqwrl,

You're on to something.

This: "Proper preparations and planning make for perfect (____Participation?___________________) whats a word for execution/action that starts with P?"

Is very close to "Proper prior pre planning prevents piss-poor performance", a USAF saying. Also known as "The Seven Ps."
Perfection

I'm not sure how the Pontoon Princess does it but snow is falling today at the ski hill. Looking forward to seeing you all this evening!
Remember "cats meow" in 2015, the single biggest snow dump of that snow season at Mt. Hood was the day before and that weekend. Should have know then that she had magic snowflake ability.

OK, If you're east of the Rockies, this isn't really for you. If your snowcat says "Tucker" on it this ISN'T for you. The rest of you yahoo's, Once again I am the ONLY non Tucker cat at the event. Come one Ladies and Gentlemen, come to the events. They're fun, educational and that's why you have a cat. At least sometimes there is one other Non-tucker but once again, I'm out here all on my own.
