Saw briers are taking over my patch. Any way to get rid of them without killing the blackberries?

Briers? If you are talking about the small Mediterranean tree of which smoking pipes are made, those are tough to remove. You havwe to dig them out or use a strong herbicide.
If you are talking about nuisance weeds like Floribunda rosebushes or even Dew berry bushes, again dig them out.
You have to get all the roots or what remains will sprout anew. Depending on the size of the infestation you may have to transplant the Blackberries. Then till the soil constantly to kill the roots. Or cover with a tarp for 6 weeks to kill everything under it.
If the briers haven't taken over or mixed in with the blackberries, just cover them with newspapers or cardboard so they die. The newspaper and carboard will dissolve into your garden soil next year.

a 75 ft patch may be a bit much for this idea, but....
stem tubes.
fill these with RoundUp, snip off the brier stalk and stick thru the cover into the RoundUp -
the brier will suck up the RoundUp and kill the roots, without having to spray "the whole patch"
