Like I said, it's just crunchy water. ;)
I've been thinking about a new thread. How many foods are there who's sole purpose is to hold the good stuff up so you can eat it?
Pasta - all of it. It's just a base for all the good stuff on top.
Potatoes - same thing.
Bread - so you can eat the meat and cheese in the sammich and keep your fingers clean.
Veggies - to hold the salt, butter and cheese.
...
Yeah, look at the energy (calorie content) celery provides...
It takes more energy for you to chew and digest it, than it gives you. It is not food.
You'd do better eating the grass-clippings the mower leaves behind.

Not really
Celery is good for you — it's low in calories and full of water, yes.
It helps you stay hydrated. It's also a good source of fresh fiber.
It helps with digestion. It gives you vitamins and minerals.
These support your heart and immune system.
I eat at least two stalks every day.
Sometimes with sour cream.

Why is it I don't like watching people stick needles in me but I have no problem taking a needle to my skin to get out a splinter or bug stinger?

My problem is somewhat similar.

I don't have a problem with people sticking needles in me. I don't have a problem digging splinters out of myself with a needle or a Buck knife. At one time I was a trained first responder, so I don't have a problem doing it to other people ... except for my wife. I've tried taking a splinter out of her finger and the first time she winces we're off to the emergency room. I just can't do it.

Do city slickers know how to say, spell or experience "Yee Haw"?
In the midnight hour, ... she cried "More more more."
With a rebel yell, ... more, more, mooooore," wow!
In the midnight hour, babe, "More, more, more."
With a rebel yell, ... More, more, more.....
More, more, mooooooore!!!"
