I've been searching for some good (fun) forums, with a good to great format.
I'm very familiar with this one (I know it rocks), so not much of a learning curve for me

Let's see how this goes (how long you can stand to put up with the likes of me)

I'm a retired ol' Coot with some time on my hands

Lived in our off grid cabin off the beaten path, up in the mountains for 5 of the last 6 years
So, I've got some crust
But, down deep, underneath all the crust
is more, even crustier crust

Have yet to be on one that wasn't

I'm registered as Independent, so I look at candidates more than party affiliation.
I don't get to participate in the primaries but prefer not to be listed on either side.
They all suck, but the dems.....whoa.....some sorta record in suckage goin' on over there.

Well, some retired guys think making bird houses is a fun way to pass the time and make a few bucks

I make some from time to time
But mine are a tad askew
However, since they sell quicker than I can make 'em, they have become my winter thing

I call them Avian Abodes

Like I said, they're...oh, what's the word....let's say 'whimsical

The 'live edge' stuff is hot right now

I've sold around a dozen pieces since fall

People have avidly gone after my pie safes

A bit tricky to join the live edges at the corners, but rather satisfying when they come together.
