Modern day dating rules

I am new on the dating scene and want advice how dating and things work i in this day and age.

My first proper date with a very attractive younger woman is tomorow night,out for dinner follewed by a disco,so do i attempt a kiss on the first date,should i let her make the first move,should i carry protection, not a gun or anything but condoms? Is sex on a first date sleezy? Should i get some viagra she is 14 years younger than me,what if she passes out with excitement could cpr be classed as foreplay?

Any tips and advice on modern dating would be great.

I'm answering only because from what I know of our membership we do not have many who are active on the dating scene. I've been married 4 + decades. But girls and guys and relationship basics are most likely still the same.
Kiss on first date. Sure. shows you like her.
condoms, sex ...or viagra ...can't help there. The few gals I did date were all different. You figure it out as you go along. Be prepared but don't over plan. Be yourself and don't put to much pressure her. Be kewl. Body language can say a lot. Be attentive and you will do just fine. Good luck.

I forgot should i take a present? Not a ferrari but maybe a rose or a nice braclet,but would this say i am over keen and next date we will be chosing baby names and drapes

And what should.i wear as i and a jeans and sleeveless shirt man,should i go shopping after work quick and grab some more casual looking jeans,casual shirt and a pair shoes,yup new undies not thong must be a must.

So many question's, should i ask the dj to play us a slow song and if so what song?

I hang out with younger women who are half my age (all are fencing coaches) and I would be afraid of trying to date any of them. No clue what women want/expect on a date.

But then again, happily married for 30 something years and going strong.

My best friend who am staying with at the moment keeps asking me whats the plan for friday night and i wont tell him and heres the reason why...

I have known mac since i was 16,he is 9 years older than me and ex army,he taught me all i know about how to be stupid in life and he as not grown up just got worse as he gets older,example, sunday night he drags me a to the pig and whistle pub near to us in a village,can we walk there the normal way no he takes the short cut through the pitch dark woods,back of the old church and to keep us warm as a flask of southern comfort.

Well the quiet few turns in to a party with mac trying to set me up with the barmaid, so we then get dragged in to a pool tournament followed by a lock in with the locals.

We leave at gone 2 in the morning,back through the woods and we are hammered,still drinking the flask he trips grabs me and we roll down a ditch,

God only knows what time we got home and finished drinking and had to got to work 7 am with hangover from hell,and this shit happens everytime.

So the way i see it if nikita meets him on our first date it will be our last i know for sure,he was best man at my failed marriage and i should have known then it would all end in tears

So mac can fuck off i am not telling

Don't put to much pressure on yourself. If it's a disco you could alway pick up a flashy tight bell bottom one piece jump suit. Bring a roll of quarters(loose change for you brits). Not for spending but for simulating the viagra lmao. I'd say play it cool. Don't be pushy. You'll get a vibe on where she wants to go. Kiss is alright on a first date.

Man, relax and just let it happen.

She met you as a scruffy SOB and probably won't expect anything more on a first date. Take a viagra the size of a hockey puck and don't worry, she probably has the birth control side of things covered. If not ..... there are ways round that too.

I know that I'm no help but what can you expect from someone who's been married for 40 years. You go out and enjoy yourself and Nikita's company.

Well it was not a good night,nikita slipped at work and blew out her knee,so i took her some shopping and cooked her some dinner,doped her up with painkillers and helped her to bed as a gentleman should,let myself out the door and went out with mac

What a night,we got on so well people thought we were a couple for years,and when we got up this morning it was not awkward it all just seemed natural.

We had breakfast she made me lunch and off to work i went.

Going out for dinner on sunday.

It was good,when we got back we cracked open a bottle of wine and talked,it was honest and we both know where we have been and what direction we both want to head in,Amy understands i have had a year from hell and moving on as to be a smooth process,im in no rush, she as had her fair share of shit on the relationship front and just wants like me a relationship built on trust and respect and for it to be for the long haul,age gap not a issue she is 35 i feel 21 lol

We will see how things go over christmas and maybe in the new year step it up a gear,time will tell.

I never said there was ups and down in bed,we snuggled and smooched on the sofa,went to bed cuddled up,smooched some more and just went to sleep cuddled up and woke up the same,trust me we ccould have but we both showed respect as thats what we both want,we could both see in eachothers eyes though that we did want to.

It felt good having a warm hearted woman to hold all night.

Now im frustrated,thanks brian
