Maybe we need a central database on bad gps decisions

This is only one of the stories this year. If this were caused by a "thing" CPSC would be all over it like stink on poop. but when people have been raised to believe in the screen, bad things are going to happen. certainly the gene pool needs some clorox, but too many people like us are put at risk fixing the bad decisions. I think it's a big problem that's growing each year, and it needs to have some sort of controls/warning/hiding based on the vehicle.

Wonder what the incidence rate is vs not having the technology. As in people with ..... or without maps.

Coming down the pipe technology, as in SpaceX satellite phone service, will at least provide a better coverage to contact people. Not sure any tech is going to be the cure for the clorox ......... maybe Neuralink 🤔 .... or not.

I think that too many are being raised to believe in the screen. If they didn't have the tech, they never would try it. But, the reality is a failure to have critical thinking skills (used to be called common sense).
