Mith

Im sure you have read about the major mods underway on the good ole tractor.
I'm looking for ideas on other bits and pieces to add to the tractor while its in 1,000,001 pieces.
So far,
  • Battery isolation switch
  • Light to show solenoid engagement (make sure it doesnt stick on and cause a fire)
  • Fuel guage
  • Ammeter (voltmeter?)
  • Bigger alternator (possibility of welding with it?)
  • Oil pressure light
  • Cigerette lighter socket
  • Storage places (pens, tools, blank invioces, oils, drinks etc)

Please add to the list or comment on whats there, im open to suggestions (somebody suggested a sink but im not sure it would fit, a bumper dumper (loo) sounds good though ;)
Thanks

Naa, Dargo, I want a big engine it it, that ones only about 2 inches tall in the pic

I'm liking the idea of wireless LAN connection, sit in the cab and play games :D

John, phone holder aint gunna be no use, the only one I got only has about 2 foot of cable.

Cab is in the plans, also a automatic temperature control unit, heater and cooler with a control PIC, like in a car.
Minidisk player is in, got a huge bass amp too :)

Great ideas, theyre on my list, well, apart from the blow up sheep on the hood, I think it would be better off on the roof ;)

I do hope you mean the roof of the tractor, and not your house. Then again, when Jan and I come back over, all I'd have to do is ask Liz where the crazy Limey with the naked sheep on his roof lives. I know how in the UK how tha masses get off on the, ah, shall we say, "unusual"?:moon:

Damn! That was my idea!!

How about a bracket for a ladder, like the kind on the side of a fire engine? You never know when you will need a ladder.

How about a trap door in the seat so that when you open it up you can use it as a toilet? You never know when you have to go number 2. :toilet: (I am assuming that you would also want a place for the toilet paper roll, assuming you Brits use T-paper on a roll and not those waxy sheets.)

How about a place to store books, magazines, and such? After all, if you are going to use the toilet, might as well go all the way, if you know what I mean.

Ideas, I'm full of them. I'm just getting started.
Bonehead :coolshade

Well John, could put it on the house if it'll help you find the place. Or you could just look for the house that looks like a dump inbetween all the other perfectly groomed houses. Actually it dont look to bad at the moment, just a huge while van rusting in the driveway :D

Dr Bone, like the idea for the ladder, but what would the FEL be used for if I had a ladder?
Ugh, waxy sheets, theyre like sanding your arse raw, especially if its cold. I like it thick and soft (uh, the toliet paper  )
Im looking forward to the rest ;)
:D
