Finished up last Sunday , pulled the cans and washed everything. From sap to finished product it was fun , hadn't done any since I was a kid, wasn't any Bombardiers around back then.. So 19.5 gallons imperial was the total and looking forward to next year.

How many gallons of sap did you have to collect to get 19.5 gallons of maple syrup? I talked to the local maple syrup producer yesterday and he told me his yield is about 50% lower because of weather. I am in the Thunder Bay area.
I lost track , on the 124 cans we had hung, the last pickup was around 85 gallons , before that you'd be lucky to get 45 gallons , it never got warm enough, with sun, during the day , until the end of last week. We'll see next year.

Seasons change fast , from getting stuck in the snow to no snow . Helping a neighbor with his firewood , we skid it out a month ago , blocked it last weekend and loaded 13 loads the past two days. Certainly missed the snow for this job , the clams a little hard on the soft ground , now just have to split it, along with my own.
