Well, my Facebook account's been invaded by the Middle East for some reason. I've gotten friend requests from people living in Saudi Arabia to Pakistan and I asked for an explanation once, but I never got one. Also, Facebook defeated the purpose of University students staying in touch by making it a public spectacle, full of private photos and messages that not everyone would deliver in person and things some would never say to another's face. I left a long time ago, it no longer fulfills the objective it was meant to.

never posted a single thing or pix.
people on my list of friends: zero
setting to only friends of friends can send me a friends request - which would be zero friends request.

suddenly I was getting dozens of friends requests from very strange places/people.
turned out to be hacked accounts - their profile pictures were modified to animated gif - which displayed embedded porn sites/etc.
obviously if you pay Facebook enough money, they'll let you spam everyone on their system, break any and all rules - and as you found - Facebook does not answer any complaint or questions.

Thanks for letting us know this. I can see I was wise to walk away. What a travesty. I used to look up to Facebook.

My facebook was taken over by some foreigners. For a while I would take it back but after a month or so I decided to let them have it.
