Gas prices where you live...

$4.39-$4.69
If I go into town, East of where I live, that is the same price range I see. And those prices are close to the "average" price per gallon in my state (Indiana).

For some reason we have pockets where the prices are lower, and, as it turns out, North of where I live is one of those and along that main road is the road I travel most frequently.

Prices in Kankakee and Will Counties in Illinois, to the west of me seem to be in the same $4.39-$4.69 range. Go northwest in to Cook county and the price jumps, and up in Chicago itself the price are roughly $5.49 to $5.99.

Still $4.50 or so here.
Diesel is almost $6.00.

I am still running the Dodge on $4.00 diesel, but I am down to 1/4 tank.

Diesel is outrageously expensive here but I have a bunch of it at pre-Iran prices.

$6+ is pretty common.

I used a few gallons of diesel this afternoon moving the valley and the west field. But I still have plenty at pre-war prices so I am good, at least for now.

Food transportation and Eertilizer for crops are my bigger concerns.

Cheapest price I can find around here for Diesel is $5.99, gas averages in the upper $3 rage so $3.99 to $4.49 is common near the interstates. Get into the competitive rural areas and the choices is bifurcated,

That is a killer. Trucks that deliver our food need Diesel. Tractors and combines needed to plant and harvest our food need Diesel. Fertilizer that we need to grow our food requires nitrogen and products derived from oil.

I'm not blaming Trump, but I know many are. LONG GAME is that nations who need the straight of Hormuz will actually police it and protect it. Short game is that the EU and UK are paying TWICE what we pay in USA. Not sure what prices are in Mexico and Canada. I suspect taxes will be an issue?

Trump is dropping in the polls. To see the GOP remain in power the prices of food, gas and fertizler need to drop before July 1st or he will likely see GOP lose the Senate, and maybe, or maybe not, lose the House.

The Straights of Hormuz need to be cleared of Iranian threat. A lot of oil is sitting in tanker ships awaiting safe passage. When that happens, oil prices will drop quickly and severely.
I think President Trump has been patient long enough. With the local Arab nations now ready to help, I think it is time before the end of this month, if not this week, to drop the hammer on the Iranian government bodies, whatever and wherever they are.

November midterms are five full months away.
Victor Hanson claims over 200 tankers, some with a million barrels of oil await the opportunity to deliver.

Pump prices will drop quickly. Groceries not so much.

But putting Iran away may well put President Trump, & the GOP in the winning column in time for November.

I totally agree @FrancSevin , and I feel Trump was being patient with Iran's neighbors more so than Iran! We needed allies on the same page! Gas prices are an inconvenience, diesel prices are what really get us. And it will take a bit to get 'goods' to come down. But once gas prices drop, people will have money to spend, and they will spend it!! I have seen no difference in the amount of drivers on the roads here while prices are so high. Gas here is anywhere from $3.56 to $3.99!

I was SO hoping that Trump's trip to China would produce some Chinese "boots on the ground" in Iran. China wants oil from Iran and Venezuela..... so let THEM transition Iran's government into something more capitalistic and less focused on Islamic Terror. Let someone on THAT side of the planet keep the Mullahs "in line". Can China be our ally? ..... show us.

Ah, well............ the best case scenario would be that the Iranian People rise up against the Mullahs and take their government back on their own.

......... Still crossing my fingers.

Two screenshots of prices in northwestern, Wyoming. Talked with the DOT Guys yesterday. We live on one of the main roads to Yellowstone national Park from the East. They are seeing pre-memorial day traffic numbers down 30%+ extreme lack of RVs out of state plates is what I'm seeing. Killer to local economies but it sure makes it nice to not have the tourists drivers. The economy is definitely faltering here. And normally Wyoming runs a few years behind the booms and busts of the rest of the country.

Isn't that why your fuel (and everything else) prices are so damn high? The town of West Yellowstone is an across-the-board rip-off town. EVERYTHING is severely overpriced.
No not really we are usually pretty cheap for WY we are 150ish miles from the park. But is anything cheap anymore?? Doesn't feel like it.
