Early Thiokol Imp 1404 Clutch Replacement

IMPossible

New member
Hello all,
We recently got a '64 Thiokol Imp 1404 that has been giving us some issues. The clutch for sure needs some work, the gears keep slipping even just trying to get up my driveway.

From a previous thread, we've discovered that this imp is likely a transition from the 1402 to the 1404. It only has one shifter directly linked to the rear differential and it has the ford v4 engine.

This will be my first attempt at rebuilding a clutch. I've mainly worked with smaller machines (atv's, motorcycles and UTV's).

I've gotten some of the panels off to see where the clutch is but I'm not sure what I need to unbolt/remove to get to it.
I'd appreciate any advice/tips/instructions!
