Convert ST4 to Large Wheel

How difficult/is it possible to convert an early small bogey ST4 to the front, large wheel configuration?
It seems that arrangement is superior.
Or is that not so?
Would such a change cause the machine to more readily de-track?

Our 1958 SnoTrac started out as a friction drive (like the one in Sweden pictured) and was sometime long ago converted to a big wheel. Maybe it was changed to a small wheel first?

snow trac nome, has a great thread somewhere. I will never do it to one of mine, but done runs some rough area and needed the big wheel to take up some of the bumps. I sold a big wheel rig * i never sell anything* partially due to a generous offer and equally a tendency to be hesitant on turns and it did walk out a few times on me.
