Woke Bill Gates putting millions into Bud Light's stock. During the second quarter, his Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Trust initiated a new position in BUD, acquiring 1,703,000 shares. As of now, these shares hold a market value of approximately $95 million.

This seems like a dumb move. I don't like Gates and think he is up to no good most of the time. I am also not sure how a "foundation" with donated money can invest in such a venture. Maybe I am misunderstanding what a tax-exempt foundation can do.

Gates is buying it cheap. Figures that eventually the company may turn around. There are a LOT of other brands sold by the company, and while Bud Light was a big brand, the other brands seem far less affected by the Bud Light boycott but overall the stock price plummeted. I think Gates may be making a good LONG TERM investment.
