I'm a fan of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit + The Lord of the Rings. I've read them all and loved them, still have copies of the books. I own copies of the DVD's that were produced several years ago.
Tolkien was a great Catholic writer, there a Christian/Catholic tones through all his works and he introduced many people to Christianity through his works in very subtle ways. I hope to see Amazon produce a great series, and if it is even semi-close to the books it should be a great series. Honestly when I was reading the books I had no clue he was weaving Catholic/Christian themes into the story but after reading the it is hard to deny the messages within the stories.
