I would say lucky you. However, we both know a relationship that last that long has to be happy love, or it is a jail sentence.

Crumpy and I celebrate 57 years this Saturday.
Married in church with a priest and family.
Most of the witnesses are long gone.
She has offered no parole.
No Pardon.
Just the best years I could imagine

Congratulations on your anniversary and I hope you have many more together.

My wife and I just celebrated our 46th wedding anniversary on the 5th May. Being British, I didn't realize the significance of Cinco de Mayo but it's nice to have several million Hispanics, and others, celebrate our anniversary every year ... just not at my house. :)

As per usual, the wife has corrected me. It is only 56 years. However, I included the first year of courting as I was completely smitten and committed.

Not exactly.

I believe I was seldom wrong. However, I was only occasionally right.
It's a tension that exists in most all relationships.
So, we do our best to work it out.
From time to time, I misstep.
So far, so good.
