believed to be one of the first callair snow planes built, 1949, tandem seating, full restoration underway, lots of wyoming history.

Having never operated or ridden in a snow plane.

Are scratchers needed or wanted?

Ive been staring at ski types and designs and fudges, and call-airs each have a unique design. I havent found other weiss to compare. And guard rails seem popular for the one offs. But none seem to have a holding brake or scratcher.

I assume there is enough drag to keep these still even after the skis become polished?

and there is the Kristi snow planes

first few callairs had no prop guard cages, later ones did, as did the trail a sled,

aeronca and Kristi had a drag brake,

Vincent had a prop cage also, but no drag brake, Vincent had the widest stance on all the snow planes,

they do slow down reasonably after you come off the throttle.

you will be okay on flat land with no obstacles, with less then quarter throttle

It's probably like our old water tender that didn't have good brakes, you had to plan your stop about a mile away.
