    Cheap Amazon parts

I am a dedicated ebayer and love getting a good deal but.... I'll now only buy motorcraft when replacing engine/drivetrain and suspension parts on my Fords. Been bitten too many times.

    Pistenbully Tires 600-13

Have you tried Pisten Bully directly? Its been a few years but I've never had any problems getting them from the factory.

    WTB Bombi

Nice looking snowcat you have there redsqwrl! I had two Bombis back in the 90s and one was my first snowcat. Put well over a thousand hours in them and would like to have one again just for the fun of it. Although, if I had the choice, I would take a BR100+. I knew them very well in the day and...

    Thiokol 3700A vs 3700B differences?

If both of your AC cats are Thiokols then it is likely they have interchangeable parts and any changes to the blade mounts would have been done after they left the factory I would guess. The 3700C versions saw a lot more changes and aside from the drive train components being different I would't...

    Thiokol 3700A vs 3700B differences?

This is from an aging memory but,Thiokol made the AC3700, Then came the DMC3700, then The LMC 3700C, LMC3700D and a few other models near the end of production. I owned a AC3700 and looked at a DMC3700 that was for sale and they both had the Allis Chalmers inline 6 turbo diesel which originally...

    New Pistenbully 100 info wanted

I don't know the exact price of a new PB100 but I heard a fully loaded PB600 winch cat is in the $500,000 range. The current PB100 is a 260hp machine that is just slightly smaller than the 200 class used to be 15-20 years ago. There is a 1999 PB100 on KSL for $65,000, they hold their value and...

    Adjusting BR100+ steering levers?

Should be a direct mechanical link. Loosen the jam nuts and tighten down the adjustments nuts as KickerM describes. I just loaned out my Bombi manuals to give you the exact freeplay but as decribed will be close enough. The nuts are on top of the differential at the end of the steering levers.

    New Pistenbully 100 info wanted

You can go onto Pisten Bullys USA website and view/download all the specs for a PB100. They have different configurations and are in general 8'-10' wide and are in the 15,000 lb category depending on tracks, blade, tiller, cabs, etc. The Trail Bully version would probably be the one that would...

    1996 PB 160D Tiller Issue

There could very well be. I had a 93 260D that had that feature but no experience with a 160D. The tech number is 24/7 and they have all the electrical data at their finger tips and will walk you right through a trouble shooting problem.

    Thiokol Spryte

I've seen a few of the factory wide upper cabs over the years . The State of Alaska had one my buddy bought years ago and is still kicking around locally. It would not surprise me if the tach was correct as many of these machines were owned by utilities and government agencies that they just...

Jeremy Renner in critical condition after Snowcat accident

I've owned both an 1982 and 1987 PB200D just like the one pictured in this accident. I've also owned a 1993 PB260D and a 2003 PB200 Edge. None of these machines automatically set the brakes when you get out of the machine and they all have a manually actuated brake lever. Even though they have...

    PB240D PB260D manuals

Pisten Bully can get them for you on a disc. Don't expect much detail in the shop/service manual. You can sign up for their "portal" and get the parts manual online too.

    1986 PB 270 DS Switch

Those are factory switches. I'm not sure of the manufacturer but possibly Bosch. Have you tried Pisten Bully? They still have some parts for the older machines.

    LMC 1500 Grouser Nuts

It's a pretty common problem or condition on steel grousers, at least on the Thiokols I've owned in the past. As they get surface rust and from inactivity and then when put in use the rust wears off creating some slop and movement which creates more wear and keeps repeating. Plus the rubber...

    OTB-Bombi! Let the Jury Begin

I would tend to disagree on the above comment especially with the Bombi. Probably because it is such a short machine the Bombi doesn't like to drive very strait unless everything is nice and strait and the axels are set to the correct angle. Each axel is a drop axel has a different angle they...

    Help with Snowcat indentification

It's a Spryte 1202 and most likely a C model, The tracks are definitely from a C model or the newer DMC or LMC 1200s. The wide cab was a factory option and I have seen a few over the years. My buddy had one. His was a 76 but did not have the drop axels like most OC-12 have. It was originally...
