Our country seems to be in a bad spot. I have been asking people questions and cannot get an honest answer from most people. Thought I would see if it is the part of the country I live in or is it common across America. Maybe posting a few questions here will help me out. All I ask is for people to answer the questions without making any excuses.

1. During the last president's time in office what was the lowest and highest cost of a gallon of gas? And to keep everything honest, the dates of each.

2. During the last president's time in office what was the lowest and highest cost of a gallon of milk? Dates please.

3. What was the reason for the two impeachments of Trump?

4. What was the number of illegals coming into our country for the four years Trump was in office? Same question for Joe.

Just a recent straw poll results are that about 20% of the voters voted for him.
As soon as I hear someone bitching about the way things are ... I make the statement "well, we voted for this shit, we asked for it."

I met with a client today.
The weather was really nice today and we were standing in the parking lot behind his car.
He was complaining about 'the way things are'. Was talking about how the gov't will not get offa his ass and let him do business, but taxed him blue on what he was able to scrape out.
I said, "Well, we voted for him."
He says, "Who."
I said, "Who ever. The guy in the White House, the guy in the Governors Mansion. We voted for him."
"Not me. No. No. Not me." I look down at his truck bumper and there's a couple of bumper stickers. COEXIST and BERNIE SANDERS.

#2. When you go on a printing spree like Trump did adding around 8 trillion, yes Trillion with a capital T to our national debt you get inflation.

I feel like folks also forget about the so called trade wars ? You know the ones that added massive inflation to every Americans daily life.

I agreed with the trade war, but the fallout out is what we are seeing now and every economist told him it would happen with a delay and wala just like that here it is.

Did you forget he wanted to drain it at one point ? Then he added to it since we had a massive oil glut leading to thousands of oil works being laid off and multiple oil producers filling for bankruptcy. I don’t support Biden but Trump was by far the biggest idiot I’ve ever witnessed in my entire life.

You can’t be serious, you didn’t know Trump added 8 trillion to our national debt ?

Did you complain when Trump bailed out public and private corporations ? Seriously, we are talking about Stepping over billons to cry about a few million used to house immigrants who want to come here and work. So here is the data on Trump’s years in office relating to our oil reserves. (Trump took office in January 2017, the SPR contained 695 million barrels. When he left office four years later, the SPR contained 638 million barrels)

I’m positive Biden will keep adding to the Trump issues with his own issues but so far he has done very little to create the inflation we are seeing today.

Oil went NEGATIVE $40 a barrel under Trump and the industry was collapsing. Maybe you forgot ? After the massive oil drop he bought oil to try and prop up prices…


I don’t recall oil workers being cut under Biden but that’s definitely possible. I sure don’t see oil companies going bankrupt under him like under Trump.

Are you calling the numbers the industry puts out weekly false ? Or you don’t believe it ? Under Trump the common working person did better in terms of cost of living and the first actual wage increases on 20 years. His actions served the people, not the oil industry or the banks.

Under Bush 43 the banks got saved from their recklessness by the USA Taxpayer.

Under Obama GM got saved from their mismanagement, again via the Taxpayer.

Big oil was in trouble for their own greed. Trump didn't "save" them but took advantage of the moment and filled the SOR with the opportune bargain. For benefit to the Taxpayer. Make all the complaints you wish about the individual actions President Trump took, he got the country 's economy going strong, and the people were better off. Results matter.

Trump planned in his budget to drain 50% of our oil reserves, he obviously didn’t due this but he did leave office will oil reserves lower than when he started.

Biden has already printed over 1 trillion , I’m positive this number will continue to rise. He also planned to drain our oil reserves and he Followed through with it. He plans to buy oil to refill it at this much lower price than what we sold the oil for. Will this plan work out ? Who knows.

I struggle to see how either party is different.

Oil went negative because nobaody needed it when the economy shutdown due to COVID. Suggesting Trump was to blame for that strikes me as a bit myopic.

As for oil workers being cut, Biden cancelled the Keystone pipeline build, and blocked new oil and gas leases. These idiotic moves reduced US production significantly, compromising our energy independence. I'm willing to bet this resulted in lots of oil workers losing their jobs. To add insult to injury, he then went to the Saudis, to beg them to up their production to avoid oil supply issues. The Saudis, of course, were loath to do this.

As for the national debt, when Obama took office, the national debt was about 10 trillion and 68% of GDP. By the time he left in 2016, the debt almost doubled to 19.5 trillion, but more importantly, it had swelled to 105% of the GDP. And he didn't have a global catatstrophe to contend with.

By comparison, in Trump's first 3 years, the debt grew by less than 16% and remained relatively stable @ 107% of GDP. It wasn't until COVID that the debt grew to 27.7 trillion in 2020 and 129% of GDP. This is a reflection of both increased COVID spending and shrinking GDP due to economic shutdowns.

Under Biden, the debt has continued to rise by over 10% in only 2 years, but dropped in percentage of GDP to 124% as the economy recovers from COVID.

I think you’re referring to the keystone XL, this pipeline was proposed to get Canadian oil down to the gulf coast where they could sell it on the world market. How does a pipeline that’s shipping oil through our country that we have little ability to refine benefit us ? We have been a net exporter of oil since the Obama administration.

Our oil issues in this country aren’t the supply, it’s our lack of refining.

Just for one minute put yourself in Trump's shoes. First he had to go through all of the Russian thing. Two impeachments which was from the democrats who paid for a bunch of lies. The news media spent most of their time lying about Trump and not allowing the truth about Biden to come out. Then they hid the laptop from hell from the people.

You're conflating some issues here.

Trump continued an existing moratorium on coastal drilling - he didn't ban all drilling. He also suspended a lease auction in May, 2020, when we had a glut of oil due to the pandemic (remember how you posted that oil went negative in May, 2020?). He wasn't curtailing production across the board because he didn't like fossil fuels, which is certainly Biden's philosophy.

To add insult to injury, and in Sleepy Joe's SOTU address last night, he was excoriating the oil industry for not reinvesting their profits in more exploration. Unbelievable. The man has no shame.
