That is how it works at my house. Everyone should put the lid(s) down. It looks neater, anyway.Make it a rule both the seat and lid haft to remain down and both sexes are inconvenienced pretty equally...

Nah, just pee with the seat down. If you don't dribble, no problem. If you do, still not your problem.I just realized that every time men take a pee they have to raise the seat as well as put it back down but the woman only has to bitch about it once and it is good for about a month. Seems rather unfair.
And after a couple weeks, the women will make it a point to leave the seat up when they're done.
if you really want to start something lift the seat wrap a piece of plastic wrap over the bowl opening then put the seat & lid down.

I have found that drying your hands on the curtains gets a pretty good reaction also.
