LMC 1500 Engine Oil Recommendations/Tips

I'm doing my first oil change on my LMC 1500 (AMC 258) and looking for tips that anyone has. What oil and oil filter do you recommend? I know this is probably a basic question, but I'm new to all of this. Thanks!

I have been using Shell Rotella T5 10w-30 (higher zddp for the flat tappet cam) and Wix or Napa Gold 1515 filter on AMC258 1985 LMC1500. (Not a recommendation, just what I use). There is a bigger filter that fits it, don't remember the number though. The 1515 filter is common across our "fleet." vintagebike's Mobil 1 filter looks like the bigger one.

What I can't figure out is what fluid is best to use in the Chrysler 727 auto trans. Been using Valvoline Dex/Merc (Blue jug, NOT Max Life) in that box.

Looking online at “ what oil to use for older flat tappet engines” will make your head spin.

Have you tried the Napa Gold 1189 or 7515? Do you know how different the 1515 is from those? I'm just trying to match the one listed in the LMC 1500 manual.

For comparison:

I've used only the 1515.
