I hated oleo as a kid. One of my first agreements with my new wife was that only butter would grace our table.
We are both healthier for it.

My Mother made 20 + pounds of sour cream butter a week when I was a kid. She knew how long to sour the cream before churning - makes a huge difference in flavor. I ran the separator so I got first dibs on the buttermilk when she washed it. She sold it for 50 cents a pound.
