Defund the Police they chanted.

Defund the Police!

Most of the chanting came from white suburban liberals. Most of the areas affected by these "defund" movements are urban areas with high crime and large minority populations. Certainly there were some shills for the Defund movement like "Black Lives Matter" that made money off of corporate guilt, but the urban populations were, and are, OPPOSED TO DEFUNDING the police. In most of these areas they actually want MORE police. The political overlords didn't care. The cities have been spiraling down a shit hole. Chicago, San Francisco, New York, Seattle, Portland, Minneapolis and others.

Now we see Pittsburgh circling the toilet bowl.

Yep, Pittsburgh police will only respond to "active" crimes at night. If you call 911 after the incident has ended, they'll catch up with you later in the day.
They're working on increasing their numbers for the night shift but a couple weeks ago, they only had 14 officers out at night. For the size of Pittsburgh, that's an insanely low number.

DEFUND THE POLICE!

COMMUNITY ACTIVISTS and SOCIAL INTERVENTIONALISTS can fill the void. Because all those gender studies majors need jobs too.

Yep.
The proposed budget is including $40M for public transit but the crime is so bad, people are avoiding public transit as much as possible. How about they spend that $40M on law enforcement first, then see if people will ride the buses again.
