O.K. heres the project in debate THE MUSK OX 62,000 pounds of her do we rebuild back to original and then what. or do we part out the 500hp V-8 Cummins Diesel and 6 speed Allison automatic (Like in a Earth Scraper) which
it appears to be worth a modest 25,000 and take the front unit turn it into a hydrostatic drive unit and make either a trailer out of the back unit or another covered unit? |

In my opinion if I were interested in something this big (which I am but cant afford) I would want the front as is with the rear unit also enclosed. Be able to carry as many people as possible would be very cool and potentialy proffitable. My 2 cents worth.

Thanks for the input. now lets see we want the whole dollars worth.
$1.00-.02(your 2 cents)=98 cents to go keep them coming.............. We will post some pictures of the inside as it is now and the monster engine area and some other close ups. for better opinion forming. it does have its own 12KW generator and airconditioning and stand alone heater. kind of a moblie cabin. the goverment only paid 1,272,000.00 for it. tax dollars at work and it got 734 hours of work on the generator and 618 on the engine. |

Here are some photos, We have rebuilt alot of machines but this would be far none the biggest. The belts are 20 ply's tire are compactor tires 7.50X20 12 ply Grousers are ductile iron. We do have two spare complete tracks.

I bet as soon as you part the whole thing out and sell the parts someone will come along and ask you to build one that big! Just a hunch.
Seems like it would have a limited market.
