I do think (hope) these are the extreme.
My kids got me started texting, and now I love it. Such an easy way to exchange pictures and stay up to date without having to take time out for the general bs that wraps around a common phone call. You can read them and answer at your leisure. And they are fun. We are more a part of our kids lives even though two of them live 100 miles away. We see pics of the grandkids and what they are up to, exchange ideas or share pics. Much more often than I would pick up the phone to call them (but maybe that's just me).

The worst thing i do when chatting on msn is when i chat to multiple people and get confused and say the wrong thing to the wrong person,my wife was upstairs on the lap top and said to me "are you coming up soon"...i said to my sister in law by accident "if your naked you better brace yourself"

I actually sent something similar to the ex wife by accident when texting. Could have sworn I selected my new GF to text.

Yes and no I don't know what the wife was seeing but I got the binoculars out and cant see any problem on the roof and went in the attic and it looked ok so I will save $100.00 in fuel in not fetching the ladder.
Besides I'd get blown off if I was up there.
