I'd be curious to compare the size of that gun to the Glock 26 or the Taurus PT111.

PERSONALLY, I don't like the Beretta safety. For MY hands it is in the wrong position and swings the wrong way. Smith & Wesson has similar safety placements/action on some of their pistols (and I sold all of those that I owned). Again that is just MY PERSONAL BIAS but its something I have a very hard time manipulating so I wouldn't touch it.

The Glock 26 has their non-safety/trigger safety. Retail prices for the Baby Glock are at or below the price of that Beretta.

The newest versions of the Taurus PT111 retail for under $400 and have a 1911 style thumb safety.
