Gone But Not Forgotten
I know of at least one other member here that has an interest in Oliver Tractors other than me. Enclosed are pictures of old Oliver Tractors. My question is does anyone here know who that other member is that has an interest in Oliver Tractors? Can you name that person? If you do know post that members name and if correct I will give you rep points. If you yourself has an interest in Olivers PM me and I will add you to my list approved names. Also you can not name your own name.

More pics will be in 2nd post

Bob Skurka comes to mind, but I think I recall Spiffy saying approving things about them as well.

The first one in the second set is especially interesting. I haven't seen rear wheels like those. They probably worked well in mud. When I was a kid there were signs on the paved roads saying "Vehicles with lugs or flanges prohibited," intended to keep the old fashioned steel-wheeled tractors off. Those with the paddles on the side might have been a way around the restriction.

I grew up on an Oliver that looks a lot like that 55.

Around here, there's a lot of the model 1950 and 1650 still actively working the ground.

I ran a 1655 one summer. I think the 1650 was gas and the 1655 was diesel. The one I ran was a diesel. Good tractors until White took them over and it was downhill all the way after that.

Tomlescoequip . The pic with the paddle wheels is set up for cultivating.

I owned a Oliver 77 narrow front with a side mount sycle bar mower awhile back. Sold it about 15 years ago.

The first job I had in my HS days was on a farm & their "new" tractor was an Oliver 88. Good simple dependable tractors.
