ICE QUEEN is here in the USA for a couple of weeks, she just looked at the mug and suggested that there probably is some makers mark on the bottom or somewhere that will identify the pottery that makes that mug. If a makers mark can be found, she may be able to look in her area for these mugs.

We have a set that my wife got when we lived in the UK. Galv is right. They usually come from small potteries that could be anywhere in the country. No large scale retail outlets. Check the bottom and tell us what it says. We may get enough information to track it down but since they tend to "one off" pieces or sets, you may not be able to match it exactly. I'll have a look at my wife's set and see what it says. Check back later.

I'll bet it says:

"ETF, regardless of what pottery made me, if I look like LilNixon's you should mail me and some of my twins to her. Thanks"

That'll never work. In my house I am answerable to higher authority than God. In fact, She thinks she ......

Anyway, I looked and there was nothing on the bottom except a date and a set of initials and she can't remember where they come from except that it was a little pottery down on the south coast somewhere around Poole. No help. Back to see if anyone else can come up with anything.

We actually had several variations of the mug. It is pottery and we got that one from the actual potter who made it. He was located somewhere outside Cambridge, but we can't find anything on the internet about him, and I can't remeber what village he was in.
I will check the bottom for a mark when I get home.

Can you post pictures of the makers mark from the bottom?

Spoke to John, there is no mark on the mug. He said that we got that particular mug just outside of Over, in a little industrial park. We had some smaller ones we got at a craft show.
