Default Al Franken

Well for those of you that are upset over the Presidential Election at least you don't have to worry about Al Franken. I can not believe the people of Minnesota are picking this guy. I mean maybe Coleman didn't do that great of a job but come on Al Franken.

Well, maybe Minnesotans are sick of "Nawm" and wanted a change, too. Who knows? It could be the comic relief you guys have been waiting for.

Does the library have Playboy, does the library list his porn articles? I wouldn't waste my time.

Fox just had a little spill on him. To me if Minnesota elects Franken we will be the laughing stock of the United States.

Did they really elect that acerbic bag of hot air? I thought I saw where he narrowly lost. Either way; even if he narrowly lost, it says quite a bit about the people of that state!

I guess it is so close they are doing a re-count. We don't know who won yet. I tell you it is a sad affair that people even considered voting for this guy.

Guess it all depends on who is running against him. All to often anymore it is the lessor of two evils. Or the people are trying to make a statement as many here on FF said they wanted to do with their vote. A slap in the face of the good ole boy system / status quo.

This is the same state which had Jesse Ventura for a governor for a term. At the very least, it has to make "regular" politicians sit back and say; "WTF???"

By the way, Ventura, like Franken, beat out Norm Coleman. Go figure, huh?

At least Ventura had some smarts Franken well that is another story. Coleman right now is in the lead but not by much and the Iron Range Votes are not in yet. Iron Range = Democrats.

FORUMS FORUMS: Election Update
*do do DO DOOOOOOOO.......*

MINNEAPOLIS -- Republican Norm Coleman has won a second term in the U.S. Senate, surviving a stiff challenge from former comedian Al Franken.
Coleman squeaked past Franken by the narrowest of margins: a few hundred votes with nearly 2.9 million cast. The margin appeared certain to trigger an automatic recount.
If the margin holds up, Coleman would be among the fortunate Republicans who survived big gains by Democrats nationwide.

AP called the race too early

Minnesota Secretary of State Mark Ritchie said the recount won't begin until mid-November at the earliest and will probably stretch into December. It will involve local election officials from around the state.

I do not agree with Mr. Franken's political stance, I will say this about him. While a lot of people said, "I don't support the war, but I do support the troops", it appears that Franken did actually support the troops. I saw some pictures of him posing with troops while on tour in Iraq.
