This is just one of those days I guess. I am a sappy, emotional bitch. I am about to revoke my own mancard today. The wife has been like deathly ill with the stomach flu for almost 48 hrs now.. I worked my butt off all weekend around the house trying to keep up...The a long time friend of my dad's died this morning. He also is/was a grandpa to the kids my mom watches that my daughter spends most of her time with. Another family friend passed away on Thursday and my mom finally told me yesterday. I really want to go back to bed and start the whole day over. Pat passing this morning was more of a dose of reality/mortality than I needed. He was the one of the biggest, gruffest men I knew. He served on the local volunteer FD with my dad for decades. Pat was one of those you swore would never die... you know if the good die young kinda deal.. I just want to curl up on the couch with my wife and daughter, tell them that I love them and sit there. of course... today my wife would be dashing for the bathroom, but you can understand the sentiment.

Actually that was kinda my purpose and I do feel a little bit better. Mentally anyway.

There is "Never" a good time for the loss of a friend or family member... Hope that your memories of them are strong and that it inspires you to look at brighter days to come... The fact that you are saddened by the loss means that person was a really bright light in this life and will be even brighter in the next!

Can I give you a few words of encouragement ???? First I would like to say I am so sorry to hear your friend has passed . So where do "you" go from here ?

I have had some close good friends pass and its never easy . Look at it this way :

Your friend was a "Treasure" in "your" life . What do most people do when they find or have a Treasure ??? One of two things usually .

They either hoard that Treasure never sharing or letting anyone know what they have
OR
They share that Treasure with others to help many people and make a difference . I would suggest you share that "Treasure of a Man" with others . Teach and share the " treasure" of wisdom and kindness with others ,as Pat did with you . In that way he can and will live forever in your heart !

Hey, thanks ya'll. Today is headed to be a much better day. I am feeling much more confrontational than sad today. Already chewed the wifes ass for not staying home today because the clinic would go to hell in a hand basket without her. I told her there would be no more sympathy from me when she is exhausted tonight.. Oo it's gonna be a much better day.... lots of people gonna lose arguments today....

Just when I was try'in to think of something sappy to tell ya.
Go easy on your wife....it isn't easy to go to work when you feel like $h!t, so I'm sure she didn't do it because she is self centered.

Oh yeah.. she is feeling a lot better. Her going to work had nothing to do with being self centered and everything to do with the incompetence of her coworkers and her boss's dependence on her. He is gonna $hit himself when he she resigns when she finds a new job....
