Default Bowhunters......... Tell me what I got

other than the obvious. I know nothing about bows. Opinions and reviews are welcome.

Well, I'm not an expert, but it looks like you got too much space between your floorboards.

Yes, the treated wood shrunk up some. I can attest it was tight when installed .........

In the NW if you don't have a gap that big then you are asking for some wood rot.

Are you still dealing with that? What is up with you? You must have mellowed in your old age, the Dargo of past would have "dispatched" with that rooster in a heartbeat! Ii recall the line from the movie Apocolypse Now, "Terminate with extreme prejudice". Do it man, do it!!

It is a PSE compound with a 28 inch draw length, 70 pound max pull, and is a great bow for hunting animals up to and including elk size. I have a small frame body and shoot a 29 inch draw length bow with a 70 pound pull.
You either are a small person or a big person with really short arms.... This does not paint a pretty picture at all...

All of the newer high quality compound bows are very high priced as new but as used are only worth pennies on the dollar. PSE builds great compound bows for the price they retail for in stores. Too many people buy a bow and expect it to shoot like a gun. WRONG You need to practice... practice.... practice and shoot a lot of arrows to be able to become proficient. At one time I shot daily to prepare for hunting season. I was very good and have shot elk with a bow. The wife killed a six point bull elk with a bow. It can happen but practice shooting and learning how to judge distance in the field will allow it to happen.

So if you expect it to be a gun, it is not. As a compound bow it is an adequate one to target shoot and or hunt with..

Just wondering what the 'cable tune' spec of 2927 is. Is it the freq that the string/cable resonates at when taut?

Ya tell me about it, it just keeps taking up space in our poor safe, which is quickly becoming too full....but in a good way at least

Now you done gone and given me an inferior complex.

I have no idea what I'd want with a bow, but according to mtntopper the thing fits me. Am I steering myself down an ugly path, BD, topper?

BD
You may want to consider keeping it; and shooting it, if it fits. I have found a positive correlation between my intensity of bow practice and my trigger control for long range paper punchin' with a rifle. It is not worth anything on the used market, practically. Maybe you know a kid you could give it to; to bring him/her into the hunting/shooting sports.

I wouldn't recommend Target shooting with this bow. Or at least don't expect to be a 300 shooter! It's made to hunt. That's what it will serve you best at. But DO practice! =)
It's a nice bow. You can refletch your arrows pretty cheap. It can make a big difference.
