Giant Birds

I saw a pair of what looked like geese walking next to a pond with a huge fountain. They were next to some condos, or a high priced apt. complex.

They looked big enough to ride.
I'd say their bodies were the size of barrels.

I thought only ostriches and emus got that big.

Fukushima radiation? Hmm..

What color were they?
Did they have long legs?

Around here, our largest water bird is a blue heron (as pictured here).

Brown and black with white mixed in. White on the belly.

They were geese. I've seen more since then. I've never seen them so big before though.

Sandhill Cranes are big when you see them in the wild. It maybe the legs but they stand about 3 foot tall. Have a few that migrate through Wyoming.

Remember, I saw those things on the ground, next to a pond and some buildings.

There was even a landscaper there for size reference. They were huge.
