I see the water swirling in the bowl.......
Okay, so these mega credit brokers are hitting the skids. The options are, as I see it;
1) Let'em sink, taking hundreds of thousands of regular joes and janes like us into bankrupcy.
2) Bail 'em out with federal funds, thus turning the coffers of the U.S. Government into the largest banking institution in the country.
Okay, so Option #2 was chosen. This ain't-a gonna be the last mega bank to bite the dust, so the Feds will now have to bail each and every one out until (gasp) The Federal Government is broke!

See why the water's swirling? Yup! You guessed it.

Anybody have any Yen I can buy?

Not quite the way capitalism is supposed to work...
Take a big risk and hit big... reap huge profits
Take a big risk and lose... government (taxpayers) save the day
Continue to take bigger and bigger risks, knowing it's either win big or someone will come to the rescue.

Yep! AndyM, you hit it. It's win-win for the bankers who..................nawww! couldn't have happened...............never in a million years................but then, they might have made huge contributions to key political figures who just happen to be the ones to bail these guys out. D'ya think??

Yes, we are all being flushed down the sewer of the big bankers and politicians that are in bed together.

All I can see for the future is my great grand children's tax dollars being spent today for these bailouts. They will not see any benefits for what they have to pay in taxes under the socialistic state they will have inherited from the past generations of their grandparents who were just too greedy to take the hits as they happened and postponed the consequences of todays political and banking greed.....:shock:

the big time managers of this and others need to be fired, jailed and have their assets sold to help pay this. Many will get bonuses and get off scot free, after playing games with our money
