Topping off my weekend I noticed my front tracks are not driving. Driveshaft is so it is something inside. Will take apart soon.

Anyone have experience and know about parts? Are they common? Appears to be dodge 1/2 ton.

Went snowmobiling Friday night to warren nh. Unloaded a 12 arctic cat f800 and my 13 f800. The 12 got 3-4 miles up the trail and blew up. My 13 got 5 miles and blew up.

Rode both last weekend 100 miles. All we did was put fuel in them. Thinking bad fuel because it is too much of a coincidence. Three skidoos got fuelsame station different pumps no problems.

WTF. Cats letting me down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

could be an axle shaft. if one broke the open diff will divide power to the broken side

Try www.vintagepowerwagons.com. I was able to get my original build sheet from Jodi at Tucker. It listed axle ratio and axle length on the sheet. Give her a call..very nice to work with

That's what went on mine.

Took me some time to find the 4.56 ratios (I needed front and rear).

Got limited slip for the front.

Good luck!!!

I just looked at my build sheet. It says 4.88. I guess my rears were replaced at least once before. I went with what I found inside.

I would suspect a broken axle not differential problems. Easier to fix once you fish out the broken piece.

Took front drivers pontoon off. Other than full of water good shape. Axel pulled right out great shape even bearings and seals looked good but will replace everything.

The frozen hub I could not get off last year sheared off the key and flaked/broke some of the axel next to the key way off. Will get pics up am.

Looks like some welding and grinding/lathe? Stainless steel.
Where to find a new key? Looks like key was steel

So differential may have no issues and hub was definitely just spinning on axel maybe being useful sometimes.

Where can I find gaskets for the axle seal? is it just silicon? There is a metal ship/gasket here as well.

Other side off . More good news. Axle mint. Key way good shape. Differential out excellent condition as if thing saw recent love before me. Bringing to my fleet repair shop for a look anyway.

Also I may have to reduce nature's offerings I take while working on this thing. After pressing the bearings off I put the axle on the tracks to keep parts together.

I look at the first one of the axles off and the key way is magically fixed. I look at number two and same thing. So the hub has one key way but the axle has two 180 for each other as if they knew this would happen! The way I handled it and the grease I never noticed.

Mother tucking awesome !

Pics am to come. I will fix it anyway big this makes life real easy!!!! Mother tucker

Differential got the blessing from the shop. Question I have for the forum is gasket or silicon gasket??

I also plan to swap sides on the axles so the key way is pushing on the other side. Even though these are better they have had keys in them.

Now need to find a 5/16 x 2 1/8 rounded machine key.
