This auction is for a 1974, model 1544 Tucker Sno-Cat. This Sno-Cat is equipped with a Chrysler industrial 318 V8 gasoline engine that runs excellent and has only 305 hours or 5262 miles. While the orange paint is flaking off in some spots, the aluminum body on this machine is in great shape! The blade on the front is 9'6" wide and moves in 3 directions: up & down, angles in & out, and tilts up & down. A unique feature of the Tucker Sno-Cats are the four independent tracks. This allows for easier steering (like a car instead of a skid steer), and better maneuverability over bumps than the two track snow cats (for more information please visit the Tucker website http://www.sno-cat.com).

This Sno-Cat comfortably seats four people, and behind the cab is a toolbox and extra room for anything else you might want. From early the 1990's to 1997 it was used on our family ranch in Idaho to pull a feed trailer around the snow covered pastures to feed the livestock. Since 1997 the Sno-Cat has been only used recreationally to gather the yearly Christmas tree and build an occasional a ski jump! I'm sad to see it go, but its time for it to find a new owner.

There are two things to note. There is a slight hydraulic leak from the rear steering piston, and to tilt the blade up, the blade first needs to be angled toward the driver's side.

The spec sheet is included in the pictures below. This model is the "crew cab". The dimensions are on the spec sheet but I will repeat them here in case it is hard to read. The width of the Sno-Cat is 8' from track to track, each track is 28" wide, the overall length is 15' 5", and it is 7' 7" tall. Also it weighs 6560 lbs.

Again this Sno-Cat runs excellent and please feel free to email me with any questions you have. Also, if you have zero feedback please contact me before bidding or your bid will be canceled. Thank you and happy bidding!
