Dad had one of these back in the early 70's. He said it was rather hard on rear tires and his drivers license.
a brother in law had one of those and he took it where the jeeps ran. Any jeeping trail he could find. He had to be winched out more times than I can count but he made it through and the car survived. Near the end the floor boards were pretty much gone, you could see the road through a couple of places inside the car. 
He could not kill that engine. It ran and ran and ran.

Not for sure OhioTC18, but I think that the Z28 could be a 1971 as well. The front lacks the 1973 bumper that became manditory in 73. The rear spoiler on the 70 1/2 is diffferent and smaller than those in 1971 and 72. It is the favorite Z28 years and front end for me... After this the front ends are fugly, and plastic.

73 split bumper just like the one I owned. The front bumper changed in 1974 not 73. I am sure.
