The DVDs are now available, thanks to FF member Teeoster. :cool2:

I've got a stack of DVDs made up, thanks to Teeoster who made the copies at his office, he even printed some very fancy labels right on the disks. When I get back home from this trip I will offer them for sale to members, with profits going to keep the Forums free for all of us to play on! I've got 10 copies of the disk to sell. If we need more I'm sure we can make up a few more copies but it may take some time to get them reproduced.

The DVD contains copies of home/factory movies from the TUCKER SNO-CAT Corporation of Medford, OR. These movies are 40+ years old and feature several different Tucker Sno-Cats from the little 222 Kitten up to some large Antarctic exploration vehicles and also include prototype sno-cats. Also included on the DVD is a copy of the BBC's Salvage Squad TV show that shows the restoration of the Snow Trac ST4 that I bought in England and imported to the US.

In addition to the THANK YOU to Teeoster for making the copies, a very special THANK YOU goes out to Jack Sloan :flagusa: for providing the TUCKER SNO-CAT movies as well as another THANK YOU to our Icelandic member Villi :smileICEflag: for providing the BBC's Salvage Squad footage.

AS FOR THE MEETING WITH TEEOSTER . . . I'm happy to say that I met up with Teeoster in the bar at the Monte Carlo casino in Las Vegas, where he and his buddies drank all my beer. :yankchain:

Now I won't disclose his real name (John) because we all know that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. . . but it turned out that Teeoster is a nice enough fellow; you can also tell he'd never left Michigan before, obviously young and naive in the ways of the world :whip: Having never been to the den of sin that is Las Vegas, Teeoster was hitting up every pay-by-the-hour lady :poto: who walked past us in the bar. Unaware that the pretty girls :5boobs: in Vegas are only friendly because they are paid to be very friendly :boobies:, Teeoster had to learn the hard way. Fortunately we were able to keep him out of too much trouble. I'm not really sure what his room charge is going to look like, but at least while I was there he kept the bartenders running back and forth with pickled eggs, dusseldorf mustard and beer so its possible that the after I made my get-away that his friend Tom (the one with shifty eyes) got him drunk(er) and took him out to the Chicken Ranch. I could tell that Tom, being the older guy in the group, was the bad influence in Teeoster's life and obviously was trying to lead him astray.

But I can honestly say that he did not get into any trouble while in my company. :halo:

Its possible that Teeoster might have a sligthly different view of what occured at the bar, but my version is the truth

Details on how to buy the disks will follow later in the week.
I'm sure we can cover the cost of the disks and the shipping costs to all US destinations for $10 and still give a nice donation to the Forums.Shipments to locations outside the US will cost a bit more to cover added shipping charges.

Yea I would have to agree with my new found friend Bob that "What Happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas". So telling everyone that Bob made me bring the DVD's all the way out to Vegas in person just so he coud save on postage just wouldn't be right. Or telling everyone that Bob knew a suspeciously large number of really hot :bunnies: girls sitting at the bar by first name also wouldn't be something to broadcast:) But what might be Ok to broadcast, for safety reasons of course, is that Bob can play the Bar tab game better than a Brookland pool shark! With very little inital cash outlay Bob was able to drink more beer than 5 Germans in a Munich Beer Hall:burp: . After he felt the bartender was having enough of his antics he claimed his attendence was required at another "meeting" leaving my friends and I stunned and confused:confused2:

All right so there was some good to come from our meeting, Let me think:confused2: Ammm..........Oh yea, I learned that Bob really was a great guy, and as a fellow mid-westerner he knew how to work hard and play hard:a1: I hope everyone enjoys seeing the DVD's as much as I did. My 3 year old is hooked on snowcats already. When I played the Tucker action scenes for him he jumped right off the couch:thumb:

Oh, and I forgot to mention, Teeoster has no fashion sense at all. You should have seen the shirt he had on:whip: There wasn't even one Hawaiian hula girl on his shirt :pat:

For anyone who wants one of these, the offical way to order it is by going to this page: http://www.forumsforums.com/dvd1.html

Payment will be via PAYPAL. $10 for shipments inside the USA, $15, for anywhere else in the world. Contact me via that page and we will work out all the details. All profits go to the ForumsForums website to keep these pages free and growing!
* For folks who do not have PayPal we can probably work out some alternate system, but PayPal is a very easy system for us to work with.

DISCLAIMER: one thing I just realized that this DVD is in "North American" format, so it may not play properly on European DVD players. When I originally received the DVD of the Salvage Squad Episode that is part of this DVD we are distributing it was in European format and I could NOT play it on my DVD player. However, it played perfectly on my computer. I simply copied it to my computer hard drive (Apple Super-Drive), then copied it back from my computer H.D. to a blank DVD and it works perfectly on my home DVD players. Our members in Europe may have to do the same thing to get it to work on their home DVD players???

However, I cannot guarantee that this DVD will play properly on European players.
