Ostomy question

OK. So most of you know my current situation health wise. So I won't repeat it here. I've got a unique situation in that I have a rather large incisional hernia right below the rib cage about dead center. I've been looking into getting a hernia support belt to help it. Only problem is that I also have a drain tube going into my liver. It comes out and attaches to a drain bag similar to an ostomy bag but the bag isn't attached right to the opening but rather through a drainage tube that attaches to the port coming out of me.

So the regular hernia belt won't work as it would press against the liver drain. I talked to an orthopedic specialist about modifying one to accommodate my drain. Then tonight while doing some research I came across this.

This is what I'm trying to accommodate while providing support to the hernia.

Seems like it would suit my needs perfectly without any modifications. What do you think?

Sure seems like it would work but I'd want the doctor so give final approval.

When are they going to fix the hernia?

I'm actually consulting with my physio for the harness. Basically they can't do anything for the hernia until the liver problem is resolved. So far all the doctors and specialists are scratching their heads on that one so the earliest anything will be done for the liver is June. Then there's the recovery period for that. So I'm guessing by fall or early winter the hernia will be dealt with. In the meantime last night I didn't even bother trying to get to bed since every move I made burned below my ribcage where the hernia is located. This is what prompted me to start looking for a quicker temporary solution until they can go in and fix it

Progress today the drain is out. I got the go ahead to get a hernia belt now. My specialist estimates 6-8 weeks from the time we get the all clear regarding the liver before he can do the surgery then it's a 6 week recovery after fixing the hernia. So my estimate is fall time before anything is done.
