Is Bigger Better? Foremost Husky

I finally got around to down loading some photos of the Foremost Husky that sold for $9000 at the Ritchie Bros. Auction last month. It must of been quite the mean machine in it's day but you probably need a land use permit just to start the thing now?!?!

It looks like it could easily hold a school bus on the bed of that thing.

I wonder what the turning radius is for that monster. Something tells me that Pixie can't use that in her wood lot or on her snowmobile trails.

Minumum turnng radius on a Husky is 45 feet but it will haul up to 40 tons so a school bus is no problem. even a cement truck ! simular to the FN600
but it will haul 60 tons very good price they sold new for 190-220,000

The question that come to my mind is why are these big machines being auctioned? Weren't they used for mineral exploration?

i'mguessing they are dinasaurs most exploration is done during the winter with rollagons on hard packed snow they still have a place for mooving heavy equipment over soft terrain they how ever will leave scars where they have been also they caan tackle an impressiive amount of snow but when compared to a real snow cat like a thiokol or piston bulley they are no snow cat.
