FS: ST4 Trackmaster and Maxey Trailer - SOLD!

Folks, I have decided to sell our trackmaster and trailer (16' 12k GVW). I feel this snowcat deserves a better home or at least someone with the time to work on and use. If you are Lakers fan it's blue/yellow pant job will be a bonus. I will try and post as much information as you need. However, you can always PM if it is not posted here. Price will be $11,000 (firm). This covers the cost of the trailer and the work I had done at Peterson Equipment out of Layton Utah. If you work for Peterson or related then the snowcat will cost you 25k. Currently, the cab is off as I intended to raise the cab. Also, the engine is out as I replaced the rear main seal. At this point since I am selling and most likely new buyer will want to strip it down I have saved you having to pull the engine. :w00t2: All the tires have been replaced and foam filled. I am even including a spare rear tire for your kids to play with since the tires are foam filled. I also, have two extra sprockets courtesy of Alaska. Right front sprocket had a crack and appeared to have been "bandaided". I have included some pictures and copies of the two invoices. Most likely there will be questions and additional posts. When I purchased this out of Las Vegas of all places - I was told the engine had been rebuilt as an 1835CC. Nothing to corroborate that other than it was covered in shinny chrome. Carb is a Weber. Please reply with any questions.

That's a real bargain for somebody considering what's gone into it. I might have snatched it up if I hadn't just bought a different one.

But should be first on yours, which puts it squarely in the middle! Just plan for a four bay 'basement' and let her build whatever on top of it! :whistling:

Doug, I will call you as soon as I get a chance. Here are some more pictures. No cracks in the glass. I made a quick disconnect for the steering wheel to keep the kids from playing with it. Rubber tracks are in great shape. I have included pictures of the sprockets that I was able to obtain thanks to Don in Alaska. You can see where someone at some point tried to repair. The 5 times I took the cat out it didn't fail, but figured I would replace anyway.

That looks like a nicely tricked out engine. What's the stuff mounted on the fender behind the light?

Re: FS: ST4 Trackmaster and Maxey Trailer

previous owner mounted an oil cooler, oil filter and battery box on the right front fender. I added a support cable from the roof rack to the fender to help with the weight.

Those variators look like they run the same as the primary and secondary clutch on a snowmobile

SOLD: Not sure how to edit the original thread. Thanks to everyone that expressed interest in the snowcat. I enjoyed talking with folks online and also met a forum member in person. Good to know the cat will be in a good home of a fellow forums member. Hopefully in a few years I will be back in the market for another cat.

Our snowcat left today for Montana with its new owner. I feel like I just sent my kid off to college. Glad it went to a forum member. I enjoyed talking to everyone that inquired about our track master. Hopefully, there will be a Tucker addition to the family in the future.
