Your Kristi looks SO AWESOME in those photos! I wish I could be there this year to see you leave that Sno Shu in your dust.
I need to get my tail in gear so I can get my KT3 out there as well. My Kristi has several performance improvements that should enhance it's over-snow capabilities.

thanks ken. what all does your cat need to run/drive? I remember you saying its partially disassembled but cant remember if you were missing anything. would love to come out and help you get it all together sometime. also think we should park them next to eachother at a VW show one day.

an interesting project for the blast cabinet. lots of angles to get but a fresh box of black aluminium oxide helped get it done.

I feel pretty lucky to have a guy like Jim running a shop like A-1 close by. he has always treated me right the last 17 years and this this time he really knocked it out of the park for an incredibly low price. I really dont like subbing out work on my vehicles but this is one thing i cant do without a tubing bender and i couldn't be happier with how the new kristi exhaust turned out. tomorrow i'll put the heat shields back on and finish it up with some brand new flaps

Is that a Coupe Quattro or a GT lurking in the background?

there is a coupe GT and a 4000q in the picture, i picked them both up for free. I also went to california last summer and snagged a cheap 5+5 (B2 2 door sedan) because it takes three cars to make one group B legend. . .

how do you get heat in a krusty with no j box heaters? I suppose you could burn old grousers in a wood stove.

once I had the heat shields tac'd on i removed both headers and realized why it was a cheap bill. he had some pretty ugly welds which tells me he welded most of it on the cat. whatever. i got what i needed which was a mandrel bent copy of the original exhaust. i took the time to grind down all the muffler shop welds both for looks and to make sure i didnt need to fix anything. turned out to be solid where it counted, i only made two small repairs. looks much better in black and the grey flaps work for me for some reason.

also got the new tach installed. love the look, just hope it lasts

the colorado snowcat jamboree was great! had no issues this year. my high/low/reverse still likes to pop out of gear at the worst possible times, and i need a little more clearance where the exhaust is occasionally rubbing the top of the cab. but otherwise no issues. still needs more carb, more ignition advance and a balanced bottom end capable of more rpm would be a treat. but i really cant complain with the amount i have invested in this machine.
